today was an ok day(: I went to the zoo today because my brother wanted to go and my mom won me over with her “ u don’t spend enough time with ur family” speech. ( well to tell u the truth I didn’t really mind(: I like being around animals. sometimes I feel they are the only ones who can understand me AHAHAHAHAHaHaHaH) just kidding! anyway as I was going , my mom told me that my cousins were coming. ordianarily I wouldn’t have minded but these cousins were an exception. they are PRATS. with a capital P. so I was like sulksulksulk. in secret of course. im not as rude as SOME people. (: [ hinthint : prats ] ok ya sorry. anyway remember last time I went to sentosa, I said that when there is a holiday , people don’t like to stay at home they go to all the tourist filled places and stay there until dinner? well I confirm that now.(:
anyway I met my cousins there. THEY HAVE GROWN TALLER. I am so jealous. I have remained at approximately the same height range for 2 YEARS now. not 2 mins, seconds, hours , days,weeks,months BuT 2 YEARS. sigh. anyway we were strolling around and then we went to this komodo dragon enclosure. I got reminded of sarayoo and burst into a random fit of laughter. my mom looked at me weirdly and my cousins ran away. my brother just stood there staring at me because I think he was used to this and my uncle and aunt were trying to ask me whats so funny. well I just continued laughing. then we went to this giant tortoise place where there was this tortoise which was humongous. [ well duh I mean they wont call it giant tortoises otherwise]
ya well there was this fence dividing the enclosure and the tortoise was trying to crawl through the fence onto the other side…well not really possible but u have to give it full marks for trying its best. ya and this is the convo.

me: mom can we go get something to drink
mom: no stand and watch
me: watch what? * gets pissed off*
[ turtle tries to break fence with its neck]

2nd cousin: ARJUN! LOOK!
arjun: lavanya! look
me : sigh.
[ at this moment the tortoise moves to the front of the enclosure to see if it has a better chance of destroying the zoo’s infrastructure]
arjun: faster! FASTER!
2nd cousin: it cant go fast! it’s a tortoise!
at this point of time, I didn’t think I could stand it anymore so I broke into hysteric bouts of laughter
1st cousin: can u stop that ? its scary [ while laughing himself]

then we went to eat something. and I was desperate to take the tram ride because I was really tired and didn’t want to walk anymore. I started complaining. My mom tried to make me stop by comparing me to a group of overly active senior citizens but I wouldn’t budge. so my cousin[ younger one] “advised me”

*lavanya don’t be so lazy, ur in a zoo! u shouldn’t take tram! u should ride the elephant!*

I was stunned. my youngest cousin actually made me proud of her for a small second, and then she carried on being a prat so I started to dislike her again.


then, my brother wanted to see the hippos. the pygmy hippos. so I had to go. I didn’t want to get stranded in the middle of the zoo. and this was the convo

me: ammaaaa
mom: …what now
me: can we go home
mom: just 10 more minutes
me: …
goes over to my cousins: sigh I personally think that pygmy hippos are losers.
cousin: actually, I just noticed that the pygmy hippo looks like lavanya from the side! when she yawns! don’t u think?HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA
me: [ very angry and humiliated, and starts wishing why I have such cousins]


well although this has been a very whiny post about my “ interesting day” now that I have finished it and reflect, it was quite fun lah.
